"Leo is not only a great teacher, but a great role model for his students. Being extremely hard-working, he always inspires my 18 year old son (who studied with him for 4 years). He has also been a great friend to my son and helped him create a life-long interest for the learning and appreciation of all kinds of music."
- Carmen B (New York, NY)
"Aside from being a fantastic performer, my 6 year old son has had the pleasure of having Leo as his instructor for the past 8 months. The best part about the lesson is that Leo always finds a way to make it fun, leaving my son eager to learn and play more. Leo is always extremely attentive and has a great relationship with kids."

With over 13 years playing experience, I have dedicated much of that time to being a drum instructor. I first began offering lessons in High School when I was 17, and have accumulated almost a decade of teaching experience since then. I have taught students ranging from ages 6 to adults, specializing in K-12 students. Musical styles covered are diverse, including: Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Soul, Electronic, Metal, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, etc.
I currently teach privately from my home studio in Astoria, Queens (minutes away from the N train at Ditmars Boulevard), or at student's homes. The studio is equipped with a full Yamaha Oak Custom drumset and Roland TD-20 electronic kit, amplifiers with iPod connectivity, numerous percussion instruments, and more, providing ample learning options for interested students.
I am a firm believer in the potential of every student to become proficient at music. To accomplish this goal, I create an individualized study program for each student, taking into consideration their experience on the instrument, preferred genres of music, and learning style.
